Adolf, in 1921, he became chairman of the Nazi Party. Come1923 in November he had planned to take over the German Weimer Republic and on November 8th, he plotted a coup by taking over the local Bavarian government in Munich by force that led to a Munich Beer Hall putsch, where Hitler got arrested and put in Landsberg Prison. In 1924, he got convicted of high treason and was sentenced to five years in prison but only served six months, after his release he was ordered to never speak in public. While in prison he wrote a book called Mein Kampf which means My Struggle. In 1932, Hitler became a German citizen for him to stand against Hindenburg, they went to polls but he lost to Hindenburg. On January 30, 1933 Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor of Germany. By July 14th, 1933 Hitler had proclaimed a law that Nazi was to be the only political party allowed in Germany. All non-Nazi organizations were disbanded and all political parties together with the trade unions. In 1934, Hindenburg died while in office, he had made his wishes of the monarchy to stay in tact but after his death Hitler refuse to publish he presidents will. Hindenburg had made Hitler chancellor in 1934 before he died. There was an agreement between Hitler and the cabinet upon the death of Hindenburg to combine the offices of the President and Chancellor and then become the ultimate fuhrer of Germany and abolished the title of president, he made all the army to take a loyal oath and swear before him personally. In 1935, Hitler reintroduced a general military draft that violates the treaty of Versalles of World War One on 16th March; and that is when Nazification started, every thing was extremely censored including arts, press, films and all trade unions and groups were suppressed and then abolished they were replaced with a labour front which was not anything like a trade union. All the churches were persecuted and those who preached non-Nazi doctrine were arrested and taken to consecration camps. The Youth organizations were abolished and became centralized to Hitler youth groups. He then took the Nuremberg laws which would severely limit the rights of the Jews and use it to persecute them; Jews didn’t have legal rights under that law they wereconsidered non-Germans.
