Cloud computing is modern world name for the internet computing. It is an emerging technology which eases the business operations of many companies where software, shared resources, information are provided to computers on demand. According to Gartner research, cloud computing is the top strategic technology in 2010 and the expenditure on cloud computing services is anticipated to hit $68.3 billion this year, an increase of 6.6 percent when compared to 2009 and is likely to touch $148.8 billion by 2014 (Hickey, 2010).Cloud Computing Market Share by 2014 Source: (DailyMarkets, 2010)Gartner further quotes that US top the list in cloud computing market share in 2009 with 60% share and it is expected to fall by 50% by 2014 while UK is expected to have 29% share and Japan to have 12% share of the total cloud services revenue by 2014. The research further reveals that UK government is trying to adopt cloud services in a rapid pace and hence cloud computing growth is evident in UK (DailyMarkets, 2010).Currently financial services, legal, ICT industries, government are the wide adopters of cloud computing services with the above mentioned adoption percentage. Many software companies are collaborating with each other to promote cloud services more productive.
