Moshims Supermarket is a fast trading store therefore communication needs to be efficient and adequate at all times. The line of reporting is believed to be clear and efficient as right information reaches each individual at the workplace in the right way. This not only applies to the employers and employees but is also seen during interaction with customers. In this industry it is believed that communication and presentation plays a vital role while dealing with external or internal parties. The roles and responsibilities are distributed amongst all the staff so it is believed that the communication is clear. The employees understand their communication roles and responsibilities in the organization and are also given knowledge that each employee has the right to speak up his/her grievances to their respected managers. Customer grievances are also noted and reported to the manager as he deals with the issue if things get out of control and there is a channel of reporting as employees report to their departmental managers and he has the right to discuss the issue with the general manager and other top management. Each case is taken seriously and everything that occurs during the working hours is to be reported so that the top management realizes that the set standards of working environment and communication are effective. As this is a small organization and the staff members are not that large compared to other supermarkets it is observed that there is opportunities for both top-down and bottom-up communication. The employers more often interact with the employees to better understand the demographic community, as the employees are familiar with the surrounding and have more knowledge of the products that are suited best for the organization. It is believed that future growth and improvements is dependent on it. It has also been identified that Grapevine exists in this organization as employees feel that the manager is bias towards one of the staff who is his relative as this is proven by the working hours given to him. Each employee is given shift of 40 hours only but his relative is given 50 hours per week and his working hours are 10am to 6pm while others start at 9am and finish at 9 pm. This is proven negative for the organization as the employees think that the manager should be fair with all staff and not use misuse his power and authority.
